Unigoro’s 2026 PKKMB Attended by 1,075 Students from 10 Provinces and Timor Leste, Carrying the Spirit of Scholars with a National Soul

The 2026/2027 academic year for New Students  at the University of Bojonegoro (Unigoro) was attended by 1,075 students from 10 provinces and Timor Leste. The campus orientation, titled “Anumerta Lettu Suyitno,” took place on September 14, 15, 16, and 17, 2026.

The Chairperson of the Unigoro 2026 PKKMB Committee, Erwanto, M.Sc., reported that the 1,075 participants were students from nine different study programs. The details are: 274 students from the public administration study program, 206 students from the civil engineering study program, 146 students from the law study program, 103 students from the retail management study program, 100 students from the industrial engineering study program, 100 students from the agribusiness study program, 95 students from the development economics study program, 38 students from the environmental science study program, and 5 students from the chemistry study program. In addition, new Unigoro students this year come from 10 provinces in Indonesia and four foreign students from Timor Leste. “Dominated by students from East Java, Central Java, West Java, Banten, Maluku, South Sumatra, South Kalimantan, Central Kalimantan, the Riau Islands, and Papua,” he explained in his remarks, Monday (14/9/26).

The theme of Lieutenant Suyitno’s 2026 posthumous memorial service is “Scholar with a National Spirit: Mobilizing, Impactful, and Cultured.” This theme aligns with Unigoro’s commitment to contributing to the nation’s best efforts amidst the various social, political, and economic dynamics that have occurred in recent times. 

Meanwhile, Unigoro Rector, Dr. Tri Astuti Handayani, SH., MM., M.Hum., emphasized that Unigoro’s mission is to become a leading university and produce innovative and competitive human resources. She hopes that Unigoro students can become leaders and thinkers of the nation. “At Unigoro, we provide opportunities for innovation and collaboration to develop ideas and concepts and achieve goals,” she explained.

Thousands of students, committee members, and lecturers wore traditional Samin samir and udeng, the hallmark of Unigoro’s PPKMB.
The committee has prepared a variety of engaging activities, including guest speakers and renowned stars. These include Jovial Da Lopez, Dr. Hendi Pratama, S.Pd., MA., practitioners from the Bojonegoro Regional Board of Indonesian Muslim Intellectuals (ICMI) (Association of Indonesian Muslim Intellectuals), and Unigoro’s internal academics. The final day will conclude with a peak evening concert featuring guest stars Masdddho and the duo Fakedopp.
